Eimskip boosts Kursiu Linija
LEADING short sea operator Kursiu Linija has sold a further twenty per cent share of its equity to Icelandic transport company Eimskip. The move gives Kursiu linija additional financial power and paves the way for Company expansion plans.

Kursiu Linija announce improvements of existing services
Kursiu Linija will be upgrading its UK/Benelux service from its existing two vessels, to three larger vessels. This service upgrade will provide customers with two fixed day weekly departures from its home port of Klaipeda in Lithuania to the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium. The three vessels, that will operate this service, are the MV "Betsy S" and MV "Zenit" both with a nominal capacity of 366 TEU and MV "Maryam" with a nominal capacity of 350 TEU. All three are modern fully fitted container vessels.

Kursiu Linija has increased capacity.
Kursiu Linija has increased capacity in line with demand in the trade by replacing one of the three vessels with a larger, faster vessel to ensure schedule integrity.

Kursiu Linija has stepped up the number of calls at Klaipeda to two per week and despite heavy ice in the Gulf of Riga is maintaining fixed day weekly calls at Riga.
