Kursiu Linija upgrades Latvian service and expands its network
Leading short-sea operator Kursiu Linija has upgraded the frequency and efficiency of its service to the Latvian market by switching the Latvian port of call on its door-to-door service from Riga to Liepaja. It has also recently opened a new office in Latvia, as part of the planned expansion of its European office network to meet growing demand for short-sea transportation linking Eastern and Western Europe.

Kursiu links Sweden, Germany and Lithuania
Leading short-sea operator Kursiu Linija has started a new service linking Hamburg and Bremerhaven in Germany to Ahus, the largest container port in south-eastern Sweden. The service will also call at Klaipeda in Lithuania.

Kursiu Linija upgrades Latvian service
Leading short-sea operator Kursiu Linija has upgraded the frequency and efficiency of its service to the Latvian market by switching the Latvian port of call on its door-to-door service from Riga to Liepaja. The new service started with the arrival of the 366 teu Condor on February 5.

Eimskip and Containerships form European logistics major
The Icelandic transportation company Eimskip and the Finnish Container Finance Ltd Oy have formed a joint venture that will be one of Europe’s largest door-to-door logistics service providers under the name Containerships Group. The joint venture has 41 vessels, a total of 30,000 container units (TEU), a wide range of modern container units as well as an extensive office network in the Baltic Sea region and Europe.

Kursiu Linija sharpens UK and Rotterdam schedules
Leading short sea operator Kursiu Linija has sharpened its schedules, added an extra weekly Rotterdam call and increased service frequency by consolidating its UK port calls at Immingham.
