Croatia borders Slovenia and Hungary to the north, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the southeast, and Serbia and Montenegro to the east. Its capital is Zagreb. The industrial sector is dominated by shipbuilding, food processing and the chemical industry.
Croatia has an extensive rail network, some regions are not accessible by train without passing through neighbouring countries. All rail services are operated by Croatian Railways.
Croatia has three major international airports, located in Zagreb, Split and Dubrovnik. Other important airports Zadar, Rijeka, Osijek, Bol, Losinj and Pula. Croatia Airlines is the national airline and flag carrier. |
